It’s been several months since I last posted here, and I want to apologize for dropping off the radar without so much as a “hey, I’m taking a break.” If you’ve been following me on Instagram or FaceBook then you probably know what’s been up, but basically I crashed.

Last year I went from being at a “healing plateau,” to experiencing a number of health setbacks. By the end of the year, I found myself in yet another flare up, feeling chronically overwhelmed despite my dedication to daily stress-management & self care practices. Something had to come off my plate. It couldn’t be my Chronic Lyme treatments or self care. Health First: Taking a Blog Break + Addressing EMF Sensitivity

A few months ago I began to notice symptoms of agitation, brain fog, and fatigue after working on the laptop or using my smart phone. So I started cutting back on my screen time, staying mindful of how long I was using my devices and how I was feeling as I used them. When I felt those symptoms arise, I knew it was time to put down my iphone, or walk away from my work desk.

Chronic Lyme Disease & the Gifts of a Minimalist Christmas

For two very simple reasons: we are both exhausted and broke. Pretty food pictures and colorful blogging aside, this is our Lyme reality. All the optimism in the world doesn’t change the fact that healing serious illness is tough. Tougher than most people could ever imagine. It takes it’s toll, and it’s certainly taken its toll on us.
